In each workshop, you'll learn useful English for one everyday situation. You'll practise how to:

Ask and answer simple questions

Say what you need or want

Understand and respond to others

Use useful phrases in different situations

You'll also learn new words and grammar to help you speak. The English you learn in one workshop can be useful in other workshops too.

How the workshops work.

Learn what to say. Then practise saying it.

Speaking English can be difficult when you're a beginner. I'll help you learn useful words and phrases first, so you're ready to speak when we meet.

1

Prepare at home.

Pre-task · at least 2 hours

Complete the online exercises I've made for the topic. Learn useful phrases, words and grammar, and practise listening, reading and writing.

You can use your phone, tablet or computer and repeat the exercises as often as you like.

I'll help you when you get stuck and give you feedback. You'll spend most of the workshop speaking English.

Just bring your phone to join the interactive activities.

Your tutor, Nicole.

I'm a native English speaker with 14 years of teaching experience and a master's degree in teaching English as a foreign language. I've taught beginners from all over the world and know how hard it can be to start speaking.

I've lived in Australia, New Zealand, Vietnam and the Netherlands. I'm learning Dutch myself, so I know how important it is to learn words you can use straight away. I design all the exercises and teach every workshop myself, so I'm there to help you from the start.
