You can start at any age. Adults learn well when language is taught step by step and used in real situations.
To start, I speak slowly and use simple language. We repeat language so you feel supported. You also have the interactive material to practice anytime you want.
I teach in small, clear steps and I check in with you often. If you need more practice, I give short, simple tasks you can do at home. If the course is too difficult, you can choose private lessons.
Do I need to study at home?
Yes. A little every day helps a lot. You get short interactive practice for vocabulary, grammar and pronunciation. You will also practice your reading and listening skills.
Will we study grammar?
Yes, but only the grammar that helps you speak and understand better. This beginner course is task-based and helps you use English for real-life situations in Amsterdam.
How many courses do I need at this level?
Every student is different. The CEFR thinks it takes a student 150-200 hours of guided study to move from one level to the next. So, if you're an absolute beginner then 4 courses.
