Here are some very common mistakes and simple ways to fix them.

Missing “a” or “an

😢 Mistake: 

I have car. | He is teacher. | I need umbrella.


😁 Fix: 

I have a car. | He is a teacher.

I need an umbrella.

2. Plural +s

😢 Mistake: 

Two apple. | Three student.


😁 Fix: 

Two apples. | Three students.

3. Missing “to be”

😢 Mistake: 

I happy. | She from Italy. | They sisters.


😁 Fix: 

I am happy. I’m happy.

She is from Italy. She’s from Italy.

They are sisters They’re sisters.

4. He or she → verb+s

😢 Mistake: 

She work in a cafe. | He want a coffee.  


😁 Fix: 

She works in a cafe. | He wants a coffee.






5. Asking questions

😢 Mistake: 

Where you live? | What you do?

When you work?


😁 Fix: 

Where do you live? | What do you do?

When do you work?

6. Routine or now?

Routine

I work every day.

I have a shower in the morning.

I read a book at night.

Now (right now)

I’m studying English.

I'm reading a blog.
